Winegrower José Martín del Campo has been elected vice president in the first meeting since the establishment of the new constitution of the plenum.
Carmen San Martín has been elected by consensus in the first session of the new plenum of CRDO Rueda. The plenum unanimously voted for the manufacturer stratum 7 (Wineries) spokeswoman as the new president of the Regulatory Board. José Martín del Campo of Viña Elite Cooperative Society will be the vice president.
38-year-old Carmen San Martín from Valladolid has a Degree in Law from the University of Valladolid. She has a master in Business Law Management from the Madrid Business Institute (2005) and a master in Winegrowing Business Management and Direction developed by the Valladolid Chamber of Commerce (2010-2011).
She has headed the D.O. Rueda Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez, S.A. winery since June 2012, carrying out the work of manager. Previously she worked in Banco Sabadell. "I am very much looking forward to this new professional challenge, in which we have opted for consensus as our trade-mark in decision making", affirms Carmen San Martín, who steps into the role of previous president of C.R.D.O. Rueda, Pablo del Villar Igea.
New plenum
The plenum of C.R.D.O. Rueda, recently created on the 2nd October of this year, is made up of six winery and six winegrowers‘ representatives, all with voice and vote. The winemakers are represented by Carmen San Martín, from Hijos de Alberto Gutierrez, Carlos Nieto, from Pagos de Rey, Javier de Iscar, from Diez Siglos de Verdejo, Carlos Yllera, from Yllera Group, Carlos Villar, from Bodegas Protos, and Felipe Aizpun, from Unión Vitivinícola.
Meanwhile, the representatives of the winegrowers are Felipe Alonso, from Feroes A.G.S.L, José Luis López Dávila, from S.A.T. Hermanos López Davila, Raúl Díez Román, Ramón Prieto de Frías, José Gabriel Cobos Pérez and José Martín del Campo, from Viña Élite, S.C.
