The visit began with a tasting on Sunday at the Hotel AC Santa Ana where the President od the Rregulatory Council, D. Francisco Javier de IScar Martínez, welcomed the group.

In this visit that takes place from Sunday 3 July until Wednesday 6, sommeliers and journalists, come from Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Berlin, Leipzig, Hamburg, will have the opportunity to see  the characteristics of an area, which is the leader of white wines in Spain, These characteristics make up the character of the wines of Rueda: gravelly soils, continental climate and the local variety, the Verdejo.

This has been organized tastings of wines from the DO Rueda and visits to various wineries and vineyards outputs for near thesoil and our native variety, the Verdejo.

Germany is the main export market for the Rueda wines (26% of total exports - year per yaer it experienced an increase) so the C.R.D.O. Rueda has decided this year to invest much of its promotional budget to carry out an ambitious plan in this market in order to reach both professionals, such as media and consumers.

Among the different activities that have been made for the German market is the presence of Rueda Wines at PROWEIN fair (Düsseldof), participation in a national day of Germany in the German embassy in Madrid , organization of a Rueda week in German restaurants with special menus, creating, performing infomercials with sommeliers at restaurants showing the pairing of wines from Rueda German food,  ...
