Facebook has turned out to be a good platform to increase the attention for D.O. Rueda wines, especially amongst the target group of young people. After great success in 2016, the concept will be optimized and realized again in 2017. Continuous postings about events, winemakers, etc. help to keep the D.O. Rueda followers informed, but not always serve to attract the attention of new fans. That is where authentic postings, published by common people from the same peer group as the potential follower, are supposed to help.
The idea of a special facebook promotion is to find new Rueda fans and turn them into Rueda ambassadors, spreading information about the wines within their community, the “new generation of wine lovers”
